Niagara organization having a record-setting fall, and that’s not necessarily a good thing

Niagara Furniture BankTo couch it in the proper terms, a little bit of furniture can go a long way. Niagara Furniture Bank has been busy this fall. The executive director, Nancy Sutton, said it's the busiest she can remember. "The last month or month and a half, we have had a record-breaking amount of people that need our services," she said. Brock pitches in for National Volunteer Week

Brock employees rolled up their sleeves to sort food, paint furniture and spread a little kindness in Niagara this week. More About Our Mission

In 2017 Niagara Furniture Bank:

  • Delivered to 570 families and individuals in Niagara Region
  • Collected donations from 450 private homes
  • Worked with our hotel partners to collect equivalent of over 400 hotel rooms worth of furnishings
  • Diverted approximately 175 metric tonnes from landfill.
