How Niagara Furniture bank Helped me donate Kitchen utensils to others in need.

During the whole pandemic I was living in welland. But finally when the pandemic was over I decided to go live with my girlfriend in West Lincoln. So when I moved in we both had a lot of things between the two of us. I had a lot of kitchen utensils like pots and pan with me that I no longer needed. So I decided to sell it first. I put them on marketplace to see if anybody would need it . But I soon realized that nobody really wanted it and it is not even worth it. Then my girlfriend tasked that why don’t we donate kitchen utensils. Because we wanted to start a new life together and we wanted to start it by doing something good.

So we decided to donate the kitchen utensils to someone in need. We looked to non profits and charities in west Lincoln . And We contacted west Niagara community care to see if they needed it .Unfortunately they couldn’t redistribute these . So They recommended us about Niagara Furniture bank.

” Never underestimate the difference you can make in the lives of others, Step forward, reach out ,and help. Reach our to someone who might need a lift. “

I contacted Niagara Furniture Bank for my furniture donation. They were polite about furniture drop off and donating it to others in need. Their services were really amazing. They were really comforting throughout the process. I received a charitable tax receipt for all donated items. I am more than satisfied with their services. From the phone call till the actual drop-off they were very polite and efficient. I would be more than happy recommend Niagara Furniture Bank to someone in need of an furniture drop-off.

Dear Community, Staff, Partners, Donors and Friends,

Niagara Furniture Bank has been an integral part of the community since 2008, we have seen our fair share of ups and downs and have always persevered. The goal of this organization has always been to serve those in need as no one ever deserves to sleep on the floor. Due to the Pandemic, unforeseen circumstances and financial hardship the Niagara Furniture Bank has had to make the hard decision to temporarily close as of May 13, 2022. This decision did not come lightly and we weighed all options prior to closure. Efforts are ongoing to explore the feasibility to continue supporting our community.

We ask for patience, understanding and empathy during this time.
